Our Virtual Airline Rules

Pleased to announce that we have centralised and documented all of our rules and policies relating to the virtual airline, there shouldn't be anything new here we are just bringing everything together in to one place. This document will be updated as we develop further with updates posted on Discord. Also note that from today flight reports will be audited for accuracy in accordance with our policies and flights not filed in accordance to the policies may be rejected. Acars App Updates

Could all pilots please ensure they keep their acars app up to date, by ticking the check for updates option in the ACARS settings (Latest version 1308). There have been a number of updates to the ACARS app over the last few weeks including: Automatically pulling your Simbrief aircraft, load and route data straight in to the ACARS app, improved landing rate monitoring and more stats around your flight. Some of these new stats are not yet visible to you but will be part of features on the website in coming weeks. If you do not keep your ACARS app up to date you may find it stops working or your flight reports are rejected in the future.

Flight Numbering

Following on from the NOTAM recently around numbering of flights on ACARS there has been a bit of confusion and wrong numbering going on so I'm going to attempt to explain it better! You only need to change a flight number/airline if you are NOT flying a scheduled flight which you picked from the website or searched for on the app. If you are doing a standard scheduled flight then proceed as normal, no need to change any flight numbers! If you are flying a charter flight (i.e. a flight you have picked yourself and doesn't exist in our schedules) then you should use the airline "Simply Connect Airline" and the flight number as your pilot number. In summary: Scheduled flight: Use what the website/ACARS gives you. Custom Charter flight: Use Simply Connect Airlines from the airline dropdown and your pilot number in the flight number field.

New 2024 schedules are now live on the site! We have BA City, Air Lingus, Ryanair, Brussels Airline, Southwest America, Air Canada. If you search for flights on the site, please make sure you use Simply Connect passenger 2.0 until I've cleared the other fleets! (https://simplyconnectva.net/flights)
